Special
Invitation Join the e-Learning Place
Our Charter
Recognizing the ever important
role of learning in our world today
Seeing the ever increasing misunderstanding and de-stability
in our world - traced in part to lack of understanding of different
cultures and civilizations
Further recognizing the charge from the former Sec. Gen. of
the UN Kofi Annan to build Global Universities of Learning,
Anticipating the growth in new theories like Web 2.0 and
Learning 2.0,
We established the e-Learning Place to provide a platform for
assembling the collective intelligence of elearning experts,
proponents, teachers, students, solution developers or providers to
answer the charge. While the infrastructure might not be unique, we
firmly believe we can build on a solid focus on the tenets of Web
2.0 and Learning 2.0 and in time extend the e-Learning Place to
include tools, solutions, strategies to help our users realize some
of their e-learning goals. If we ever get to design, develop and
launch the Global Open University, we would have achieved our goals.

Dear e-Learner,
Do you currently
undertake any continuing education? Will you benefit
from job
improvement training? Did you know that by 2008, businesses,
universities, and individuals will spend $13.5 billion in the United
States and $21 billion globally on learning
management systems, according to International Data Group
Inc. subsidiary International Data Corp. (IDC), a research firm that
uses almost 800 analysts in 50 countries to track technology and industry
trends.
One factor fueling the upsurge in e-learning is government
mandates. These require businesses in a variety of industries, such
as healthcare, human resources and finance, to prove compliance with
specific standards and to document required competencies to gain accreditation.
What is the value to you of employee
training programs? Are you a student/teacher interested
in learning about trends, ideas, solutions, best
practices in e-learning?
Do you think that these are vital questions for the assurance of e-learning
quality in school education, on-the-job training, and continuing education?
The discussion is open. How about Talent Management? Do you think
companies are properly aligning their recruitment, retention, on-boarding
and employee training programs in a comprehensive value added sequence?
What role do you think a learning
management system can play in enhancing
talent management strategy?
I want to invite you to join in a discussion concerning e-learning, continuing education, lifelong learning, and job improvement training. Its free, fun and you can learn about the latest trends, strategies and solutions to help you in your learning journey.
